Date Completed: December 2010
Project Value: $700,000
Description of Project:

The project was challenging as the site had to be back filled with approx. 8000m3 of fill and with the final finished floor height at different levels achieving symmetrical and consistent light pole levels was a challenge. The car park required the supply and installation of 32 off 6.5 meter hinged light poles.

Site works required trenching for electrical services approx. 350 meters.
Auguring holes approx. 1.8 mtrs deep also rock braking as we encountered rock for light pole foundations, trenching hundreds of meters for electrical and communications infrastructure and concreting the light pole foundations.
We used the latest laser guided level equipment to obtain a perfect light pole base level.

The design required the supply and installation of installation 53 Polymer electrical pits. One at each light pole base. We installed absorption trenches at each pit to prevent water build up inside the pit.

We constructed 2 concrete slabs approx. 8 x 3 meters to house the electrical equipment below.
The car park design required a 200-amp supply from the Ausgrid Network. We designed and had a switchboard manufacture, manufacture a Stainless Steel Main Switchboard.

We had a custom built 50 KVA Isolating transformer built which we installed as this site was right adjacent to Berowra Railway Station.
The car park required an extensive electrical and communications infrastructure for future cable installation, 7 CCTV cameras and a PA system we also installed.

Overall the project was successful and completed on time.
